DIY Wind Turbine – A Solid Base For The Tower One of the most important components to the wind turbine is the tower that will support the weight of the turbine. You will want to take extra care to get the base of the tower just right. Making sure that the base is solid and anchored correctly will ensure that the tower and the wind turbine will give you many years of reliable performance. A concrete base is highly recommended. It will support

the weight of the tower and the turbine itself. Also, if you plan to use a tilt-up tower, the concrete base will give you a stable anchoring pivot point that will be able to withstand the lateral stress when you raise and lower the tower. The guy wire bases should also be anchored extremely well, and concrete bases are recommended here as well. Once you have the bases prepared, you will be ready to install your DIY wind power generator.
